This prestigious ceremony organized by London's Design Museum examines creations across a number of categories including architecture, furniture and fashion, using the winner from each section as well as an overall winner announced with an awards ceremony April 24. Fashion nominees include London-based designer Mary Katrantzou's and French label Céline's Autumn 2011 collections and Sarah Burton's wedding dress for Catherine Middleton. The 27th edition with this parallel fashion and photography event will start April 27, using one of the most anticipated elements being the annual competitions, that have in the past recognized design talent including Viktor & Rolf. Creatives nominated within the fashion category include Narelle Dore, Ragne Kikas, Daniel Hurlin and Kim Choong-Wilkins, who had been also cited as “One To Watch” by London’s Vauxhall Fashion Scout this season.
